You have to know that force manual failover operation can cause loss data which is able to last some database operation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Failover State<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When primary side is down, you can see your Availability Groups and database on SQL Server Management Studio at the secondary (disaster side) like below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover1.jpg\" alt=\"sqlserverforcemanualfailover1\" width=\"314\" height=\"369\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1719\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover1.jpg 314w, http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover1-255x300.jpg 255w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 314px) 100vw, 314px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Failover Cluster Manager is down. Probably, you can not see any failover cluster on Failover Cluster Manager.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover2.jpg\" alt=\"sqlserverforcemanualfailover2\" width=\"868\" height=\"261\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1704\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover2.jpg 868w, http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover2-300x90.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover2-768x231.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 868px) 100vw, 868px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Force Manual Failover<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can use the forced quorum procedure on a WSFC cluster node to override the safety controls that took the cluster offline. This effectively tells the cluster to suspend the quorum voting checks, and lets you bring the WSFC cluster resources and SQL Server back online on any of the nodes in the cluster.<\/p>\n<p>You have to restart your WSFC (Quorum) with below commands.<\/p>\n<p>Open a command prompt and execute below commands.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nnet.exe stop clussvc<br \/>\nnet.exe start clussvc \/forcequorum\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover3.jpg\" alt=\"sqlserverforcemanualfailover3\" width=\"674\" height=\"254\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1705\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover3.jpg 674w, http:\/\/www.fatihacar.com\/blog\/resimler\/sqlserverforcemanualfailover3-300x113.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 674px) 100vw, 674px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Close and re-open Failover Cluster Manager.
